The Spirit

Ironically, the ghost is the one asking the questions this time. A playful twist on classic paranormal folklore, The Spirit captures the humor and absurdity of occult obsession through a tiny ghost clutching its own planchette. Instead of summoning the dead, the dead seem just as curious about us, blurring the line between haunting and being haunted. Wrapped in drifting smoke and old séance energy, the piece draws inspiration from vintage spirit-board aesthetics, campfire ghost stories, and supernatural superstition. The wide-eyed expression gives the design a strangely innocent personality, while the floating Ouija accents keeps the darker occult influence. Designed with engraved woodcut influence, bold blackwork styling, and dark fantasy-inspired symbolism, The Spirit balances eerie atmosphere with playful humor, turning paranormal horror into something oddly adorable.
